On February 27, 2025, students from KIFOS participated in an engaging Youth Placemaking Balkans (YPB) Workshop focused on empowering youth through placemaking. The workshop introduced students to the concept of placemaking—a collaborative process of transforming public spaces to better serve community needs.

Through interactive discussions and case studies like Ofarbaj POkaz (a youth-led public art initiative) and UPGRADE – Towards a Sustainable Spatial Infrastructure, students explored how they can actively shape urban environments. A brainstorming activity challenged participants to identify and propose solutions for underutilized public spaces in their communities.

The event sparked inspiring ideas and encouraged students to engage in local and international opportunities, including Erasmus+ projects and youth-led initiatives.
